Virchow Biotech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking experienced professionals to join our R&D mAbs team as Sr. Executive / Assistant Manager (Upstream – Media Optimisation). This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading biotech company known for innovation and excellence in biologics.
About the Role
As a Sr. Executive or Assistant Manager – R&D mAbs, you will be responsible for optimising upstream unit operations and media formulations to support monoclonal antibody (mAb) process development and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Upstream Operations: Execute and oversee mAb process development using CHO-based mammalian expression systems.
- Media Optimisation: Develop and optimise media for multiple products to enhance yield and quality.
- cGMP Compliance: Ensure all activities align with cGMP guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and manage changes to improve process efficiency.
- Equipment Qualification: Participate in equipment qualification and commissioning.
Requirements
- Qualification: M.Sc. / M.Pharm (Life Sciences) or equivalent.
- Experience: 6–9 years in upstream operations within a cGMP environment.
- Skills & Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with SS and SUB systems (up to 2000 L scale).
- Knowledge of biosimilar protein and mAb projects.
- Strong understanding of GMP controls, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
