🏥 About the Role: Microbiology Executive / Trainee
Working in a Microbiology department is a role of high responsibility. You act as the biological gatekeeper, ensuring that manufacturing environments, utilities, and products remain free from microbial contamination. 🦠
At Lupin Pune, you’ll work in strict compliance with cGMP guidelines, supporting patient safety and product quality. This is not a desk-only role—you’ll gain hands-on laboratory exposure, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy practical science and regulated environments.
📋 Key Responsibilities & Technical Skills
1️⃣ Environmental & Utility Monitoring 💧
- Environmental Monitoring (EM) of classified cleanroom areas
- Sampling and testing of purified and high-purity water systems
- Bioburden testing and BET (Bacterial Endotoxin Test)
- Sterility testing for finished products and utilities
2️⃣ Laboratory Operations & Culture Management 🧪
- Media preparation for area and utility monitoring
- Sub-culturing and serial dilution of standard cultures
- Growth Promotion Tests (GPT)
- Identification of microbial isolates and trend analysis
3️⃣ Equipment Handling & Qualification ⚙️
Hands-on exposure to advanced microbiology equipment, including:
- Autoclaves and Dry Heat Sterilizers (DHS)
- Incubators and pH meters
- Air samplers and particle counters
- KTA (Kinetic Turbidimetric Assay) systems for endotoxin testing
4️⃣ Documentation, Compliance & QA 📝
- Deviation reporting and OOS handling
- Change control and sample management
- Maintaining audit-ready documentation as per regulatory standards
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Education: M.Sc. in Microbiology or Biotechnology 🎓
- Experience: 0 to 2 years
